Advertising Marketing & Promotions Associate Attorney
An AM 200 international law firm, consistently recognized as one of Fortune’s Best Places to Work, is seeking an experienced Advertising, Marketing & Promotions Associate or Counsel with at least seven years of relevant experience. About the Role: The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in advertising and consumer protection law, and be proficient in:
- Drafting and negotiating agreements related to ad agencies, influencers, celebrity endorsements, sponsorships, online media buying, and marketing promotions
- Reviewing ad copy for false advertising, claim substantiation, intellectual property, and right of publicity issues
- Counseling on compliance for contests, sweepstakes, price advertising, and subscription programs
- Advising on loyalty/rewards programs
Experience in false advertising, unfair competition, and National Advertising Division disputes is a plus but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Excellent academic credentials and outstanding legal writing and communication skills
- Experience within a medium or large law firm setting is preferred
- Admission to the Washington State Bar is ideal, and candidates with an interest in the Pacific Northwest are preferred, though fully remote arrangements will be considered
Remote work may not be available in all states and requires approval from the firm. Occasional visits to the Seattle office will be expected.
