An AM 200 law firm is seeking an Audit Letter Assistant with a Bachelor’s degree and experience as a legal secretary, case assistant, or paralegal. This role supports the Audit Letter Analyst team in responding to and managing audit letter requests from clients, ensuring that all requests are handled promptly and in accordance with ABA guidelines and firm policies.

Key Responsibilities:
The Audit Letter Assistant will assist in coordinating, organizing, and tracking audit letter requests. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Audit Letter Analysts to process audit letter requests in alignment with ABA guidelines and firm policies
  • Reviewing client files for prior responses or engagement letters
  • Tracking attorney responses and disclosures related to audit letters
  • Assisting with the preparation of audit letter responses for attorney review
  • Compiling necessary documentation for audit letter responses
  • Working closely with the Audit Letter Analysts and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all policies and guidelines
  • Coordinating delivery of responses to auditors
  • Performing additional duties as needed

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior experience as a legal secretary, case assistant, or paralegal
  • At least 1 year of experience in a corporate legal environment (due diligence, research, or compliance)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and iManage after training
  • Availability to work overtime as needed
